Get Involved

There are many ways you can take part in SEE-Change.

Whether it’s with your school, university, group or as an individual - we’d love to have you join us in any capacity you’re willing and able to. If you don’t have time to volunteer you can donate to help us do our work in the community.

Join hundreds of other Canberrans to become a SEE-Change member.

  • By joining SEE-Change you support the voluntary work of SEE-Change groups and help make more projects happen in the community. Membership is $25 per year or $10 for unwaged. 40% of membership fees are used by volunteer groups to run events and workshops. Become a member.

  • Join our newsletter community to find out what’s going on locally and around Australia and the world.

Volunteers form the core of SEE-Change. We offer a range of volunteering opportunities.

In our office

We have a number of roles in our office that require volunteers to help out. Join our friendly team in the Downer office to help with the day to day running of SEE-Change.

Office Administration Support role

Tasks include updating our membership database, posting events on Eventbrite, Facebook and the web. Skills required are knowledge of using computers and good English skills. We can support you in this work.

Join or Start a Group

Join one of our groups or talk to us about starting a new group.

University Internships

Need to get credit for your university course? At SEE-Change we offer internships one day per week during university semester. We provide 1 hour face to face mentoring each day on your project. In return we ask you to provide 2 hours of your time to help out with administration. Contact us.

help out at a sustainable house day

If you help out at a Sustainable House Day you don’t need to pay for a ticket! Volunteers help by introducing people to SEE-Change and getting them to join up or join our newsletter. It’s a good way to meet new people in the community. Contact us.

join our board

Help guide the strategic direction of SEE-Change until 2022. The Board is elected each year at the SEE-Change Annual General Meeting held in October. Board Members must be members of SEE-Change.

Donations help us run special programs, like the fortnightly working bees at Jerrabomberra Wetlands.

SEE-Change is a registered environmental charity with deductible gift recipient status. That means you can claim your donation as part of your tax return.

Each year we report to the Federal Government on how we have used donations.
