Woden air pressure test

Thirteen people came along on a tour of a Passive House which is currently under construction and saw an air pressure test!

This house is being build to the Passive House standard. The windows has arrived from Germany and had just been installed, so it was the perfect time for visitors to witness an air pressure.

The air pressure test was undertaken because the house is being built to the Passive House standard and needs to be below 0.6 air changes per hour to have passed the test.

Visitors saw the bare walls and ceiling covered in a sealed membrane. A large fan was fitted in the external doorway to extract air from the house, a thermal camera was used to detect any leak points and equipment used to measure the leakage rate. The experts were there to explain the process.
