Transition Streets Launch

On Friday 30 October 2015 Transition Streets Canberra was officially launched.

A BIG thank you to Minister Berry, who is the Minister for Housing and Community Services, and the ACT Government for supporting this wonderful initiative.

Thank you Maureen, who is the co-convener of the SEE-Change Inner North local group and who kindly offered to host this event in her front yard.

Thank you also to Communities at Work for collaborating with SEE-Change on this wonderful project.

And last but not least, a REALLY BIG thank you to the members of the SEE-Change Inner North local group who have made this project possible, along with members from the Belconnen group, Communities at Work and other volunteers who have been contributing to the various resources. We now a range of great, locally-focused resources to support the community to get involved in this initiative.

Not only did we all enjoy a lovely morning tea at Maureen’s house with Jen’s amazing chocolate cake, but we had the first Transition Streets Canberra sticker put on the letterbox.
