OUR CORE VALUES

  • Integrity
  • Trust
  • Respect
  • Leadership

Staff, board members and group leaders will model these core values.

STRATEGIC PLAN MATRIX – 2019-2022

The Strategic Plan Matrix is a one page document that combines SEE-Change’s roles and focus for 2019-2022.

Draft Strategic Plan

IMPACT

SEE-Change reaches thousands of people through its newsletters, social media platforms and local group activities. At present that reach is mainly to well-educated people who are privileged.

Over 2019-2022, SEE-Change will aim to reach more disadvantaged people in Canberra, including Aboriginal people and people with ethnically diverse backgrounds, people with disabilities and people who are geographically isolated.

REVIEW

The Strategy will be reviewed regularly to ensure it remains relevant.

FUNDING

SEE-Change’s core funding is provided by the ACT Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate for three year periods.

OUR  PARTNERS

Both the Conservation Council of the ACT and the Canberra Environment Centre are funded from this same funding pool. SEE-Change aims to provide unique but complimentary services and activities from these groups and ensure it helps the ACT Government reach its objectives under its Climate Change Strategy.

TIMELINE

2019-2022       Next round of ACT Government Funding

2016-2019       Current round of ACT Government Funding

WHO IS THE STRATEGY FOR?

The Strategy will be used by SEE-Change staff, SEE-Change Board and SEE-Change groups to assess existing projects and new project proposals to ensure they are a good fit with the organisation’s goals. It will help guide the development of the 2019 Work Plan.

The Strategy will support SEE-Change’s 2019-2022 funding proposal to the ACT Government.

HOW ARE WE UNIQUE?

SEE-Change is a Canberra grass-roots sustainability organisation formed in 2008. We are unique in that we deliver sustainability information, activities and programs through volunteer-led groups within the  community.

WHAT DOES SEE STAND FOR?

The SEE in SEE-Change stands for:

  • Society
  • Economy, and
  • Environment.

From its beginnings, the organisation’s goal was address changes across these three spheres in order to create a fair and sustainable society with a reduced environmental impact. These three spheres continue to be addressed in SEE-Change’s second decade of operation.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

SEE-Change acknowledges the building of Canberra on the land of the Ngunnawal people. We pay respect to the elders and recognise the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We celebrate their cultures and ongoing contribution to the ACT community.
