Enabling change in our Society, Environment and Economy (SEE)

Maddie Diamond – Executive Officer

Maddie is one of SEE-Change’s Executive Officers, starting the role in April 2019.

Maddie has experience in environmental activism and community organising through her involvement with the Australian Youth Climate Coalition. She is also the founder of local volunteer group Trash Mob, who host monthly rubbish clean ups, often in collaboration with other community groups. In 2018, she received the Individual Community Service award at the Young Canberran of the Year ceremony for her work with Trash Mob.

Maddie is passionate about environmental sustainability and social justice, and believes they go hand-in-hand. She considers herself a professional op-shopper, making an effort to reduce the impact that her purchases have on the environment. She hopes to one day build a
sustainable home with recycled materials, while growing her own food in a permaculture garden.

Maddie is studying a Diploma of Sustainable Practice at TAFE.
