House Blitz – 2015

SEE-Change, in collaboration with the ACTSmart Home Energy Advice Service, organised a number of House Blitz workshops during 2015, where Lish Fejer explained what you can do to a property to improve it’s energy efficiency.

At these workshops participants also got to try-it-out themselves!

  • Saturday 11 April 2015 – This workshop was conducted on a rental property in Gungahlin after Lish explained what you can do to make a rental property more energy efficient, everyone then sealed the house.
  • Saturday 30 May 2015 – This workshop was conducted on an owner-occupied home in Belconnen and first of all did a blower-door test on the house to see just how bad the draughts were, everyone then sealed the house and then the house was re-tested to see the difference.
  • Saturday 4 July 2015 – This workshop was conducted on an owner-occupied home in Curtin and first of all did a blower-door test on the house to see just how bad the draughts were, everyone then sealed the house and then the house was re-tested to see the difference.

These workshops are a great way for you to experience first-hand just how draughty a typical home can be and also provide you with hands-on experience of how to improve a home.

If you are keen to come along to a future house blitz workshop, please register your interest and we will notify you when we have dates confirmed.
