Heidi – Committee member
Heidi Congdon joined the committee in 2017 to support hands-on community action and intergenerational learning for sustainability. She is also a co-founder of a community mending and fixing workshop, Canberra Repair Cafe, hosted by the Canberra Environment Centre.
Heidi moved to Canberra in 2010 to study at the Fenner School of Environment and Society at the Australian National University, where she also tutored human ecology and geography. After growing up on a farm, the novelty of being able to cycle or walk to work, the markets or to visit friends has still not lost its appeal.
She also loves to make, grow and cook and speaks a teeny tiny bit of Mandarin Chinese.
