Gundaroo Passivhaus Tour

The tour of this Passivhaus home in Gundaroo was tremendously successful with over 45 people attending.

If you missed out on the August tour of this wonderful house, never fear, the owners have generously agreed to run another Sustainable House Tour next year.

This will be your chance to see how this home performs in the height of summer.

This rural home tour showcased a simple but elegant design using German PassivHaus principles, with power supplied from an off-grid 9kW Solar system.

This home has been built to a passive-solar design, constructed of natural materials where possible, minimise the chemical toxicity of the building materials, and leverage appropriate levels of technology to reduce the ongoing operational costs for heating, cooling, power and water.

All these design features mean that even on cold winter days the temperature of the home has not dropped below 19.2 degrees!
