Come along for a working bee at the Canberra City Farm Education Centre, Fyshwick. This will be followed by the regular monthly get together and then more working bee activities. There will be food to share too.
Details: 11 a.m. working bee; 1.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. lunch and update; 2.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. working bee and socialising.
What to bring: food to share (pizza toppings), your own beverages, hat and appropriate clothing.

Sustainable House Tour – rural Hall

The Hall house was built with two main aims: to take advantage of the Murrumbidgee views and to be a sustainable house.

Built with the Passive House standard in mind structurally, whilst also using solid, sustainable materials for the internal joinery.

Whilst 95% built, you will be able to see a glimpse of the ventilation system and the building envelope and gain an understanding of the complexity of the building.

With a furniture maker owner/builder, this house is built to a fine furniture grade standard with many design surprises inside.

Canberra Environment Centre’s monthly repair cafe sessions are a chance to get some help to fix your clothing, jewellery, small household appliances, bicycles and other bits and pieces.
Our events are volunteer-powered, and are based on everyone contributing however they can.
So if you have spare parts or tools to use for your own repairs or to share or donate, do bring them along. Or you might be able bring a plate of snacks to share from time to time, or help with the washing up. Join us for a cuppa and chat fixing. Some months we also make pizza with the garden working1 ...
