Making Canberra a human centred city
SEE-Change is collaborating with the Urban Synergies Group and the Green Institute to run a workshop on making Canberra a more human-centred city (with less focus on the car). We will take you on a qualified journey on the synergies between urban commons, the sharing city, biophilic design principles and health and wellbeing in urban systems.
The goal will be to adopt a joint Charter supported by co-designed action items in an inclusive and reflective process that enables the city for all. Together we will guide you through this inclusive process.
The workshop includes international speakers Debra Efroymson, author of ‘Beyond Apologies, defining and achieving an economics of well-being’, Timothy Beatley founder of the Biophilic City Network and Darren Sharp, Australian editor of ‘Shareable’.
Edwina Robinson be facilitating a discussion on biophilic design (design with nature). Gregor Mews, from Urban Synergies Group has organised activities for kids and they can contribute to the discussion.
This is a no-low-waste event so please bring a cup/mug, plate, knife.
