Enabling change in our Society, Environment and Economy (SEE)

There are lots of things you can do with your energy supply and use to reduce your environmental impact and improve your well-being.

Some initial steps you could take to get started would be:

  1. Reduce your need for appliances and gadgets that use energy:
    • Use hand mixers rather than electric mixers
  2. Operate appliances, gadgets and buildings to use less energy:
    • Turn off appliances and chargers at the power point to reduce standby energy use
    • Open a window on either side of your house to let cool breezes in rather than turning on your air conditioner
  3. Purchase GreenPower through C3 and support SEE-Change
  4. Replace inefficient appliances and gadgets:
    • Install compact fluorescent light globes
    • Replace your heather and hot water service with an efficient appliance
  5. Install solar panels for hot water and electricity generation
  6. Bulk-buy and/or install solar panels
  7. Invest in community renewable energy

The following resources provide a wealth of information on all things energy related.
