‘Beyond Zero Emissions’– Australia as a renewable energy superpower

Established in 2006, Beyond Zero Emissions (BZE) is an Australian NGO that conducts research, education and planning towards implementing a zero carbon economy for Australia, to boost Australia’s economy and its citizens’ wellbeing. For the past eight years BZE has been co-authoring the ‘Zero Carbon Australia series’ with University of Melbourne’s Energy Research Institute, with the support of a range of institution and individuals across Australia.

The forum will comprise a 50 minute presentation by Mark Spain, a volunteer BZE presenter and Chairperson of SEE Change, followed by discussion and conversations for up to 50 minutes. The broad coverage of the presentation will be as follows:

Overview of the plans embodied in the BZE Reports to date – on Energy, Buildings, Transport, Land use, Industrial processes and Australia as a renewable energy superpower – and an outline of how these plans work together to reduce Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions to zero.

We look forward to your presence and participation in this important topic on 6 September.
